Abbey Lane - School of the Year

Abbey Lane PS has been running their 5 day a week breakfast program for over 7 years and the classroom basket program for 4 years.

The program has such an infectious energy when you walk into the school atrium, students, parents and staff socializing and eating healthy food without absolutely no stigma attached to the program. It is truly the place to be before class if you attend Abbey Lane PS.

The success of this program is truly the efforts and support of the entire school and staff. Nancy Hardcastle the Program Coordinator has done an amazing job organizing the program and constantly strives to make sure they are meeting and exceeding ministry guidelines. The support they receive from all levels of the school especially parent and community  volunteers makes this program the shining success that it is today.

Abbey Lane is a true model for other breakfast programs and have used every opportunity available to them to gather food and funds for their program.

They are a great example of when an entire school community come together great things can be achieved.

I congratulate you on being the well deserved school of the year!

Geoquery - How do I find my bus route?

posted Jan 10, 2017, 11:31 AM by Nadine Akers   [ updated Aug 31, 2017, 10:56 PM by Dawn Lazerte ]

GEOQUERY is Halton Student Transportation Services online portal available to parents and students. Visit the HSTS website at and click on the link. Through Geoquery, you can access your child’s transportation schedule at all times but will need the following information to do so. Don't forget to sign-up for late notices. Remember that there is a bus driver shortage on right now so be prepared for delays.

To access your child's route you will need1) your child’s O.E.N. (Ontario Education Number) When recording, remember to include dashes, e.g. 000-000-000.  The OEN is located at the top of your child’s report card. 2) Your address, e.g., 14 Lawson Drive;  School Name and 4) Child’s Grade.

If you share custody, one primary site is used and the other needs to be processed through a "Courtesy Bus Seat" requiring the signature of a school administrator.
